"Paws to Listen" is a community outreach program organized by Longmont Humane Society,
designed to get children hooked on reading by using registered Therapy Dogs as reading companions.
The program is carried out in a variety of settings including schools, libraries and bookstores.
This style of program is designed to boost self-confidence and self-esteem among participating
children while improving their reading skills.
