How long will it take to train my dog?
A. There are a number of things to consider when training your dog. What
are your goals for your dog (i.e., competition, good manners, working,
show, etc.)? How fast do you want to achieve those goals? What can
I afford to spend? And finally, how reliable to you want the behaviors
to be? Give us a call and we can design a training plan customized

Do all the members in my family have to participate in the training or just one?
A. The more people who participate in the training - on a consistent basis
- the quicker the dog will learn. However, inconsistent signals
by different family members will create confusion for the dog and
could lead to unreliable behavior. We believe training is more than
just practicing tricks for a few minutes a day. It is a way of interacting
with your dog for life. Remember, every minute your dog is awake
he is being trained. --TOP-
I have more than one dog. Do I need to train each one separately?
A. Our foundation work must be taught to each dog individually. Once the
foundation is there, the dogs can be worked together for added distraction.

Once I complete your training, how much do I need to continue working with my dog?
A. Training is a life-long process. It's a question of who trains the dog -
the owner or the environment. Good training equals consistent communication
over the dog's lifetime. --TOP-
What training methods do we use?
A. We believe that training is a process of developing communication without
conflict between you and your dog. As such, we use whatever methods
suit the dog's temperament and the owner's expectations. Our job
is to help the dog and handler speak the same language. Positive
motivation helps build a lasting relationship and strong focus but
a dog must also have a strong sense of self-control and clear understanding
of his limits. --TOP-
How early should I start training my new puppy?
A. You should actually start the training before you get the puppy! Training
starts with the management of the puppy's environment. Establishing
places where the puppy will sleep, eat and play are best determined
prior to the puppy arriving. The foundation work begins the day
the puppy enters your home. --TOP-
Are there any dogs that can't be trained?
A. Any dog with a pulse can be trained. One of our success stories is Beethoven,
a Labrador Retriever, who is totally deaf. Beethoven was on his
third owner when we began working with him. We specialize in "lost
