Since our return to the US in 1997 we have wanted to establish a dog club similar to the clubs we enjoyed so much in Belgium.

The dog clubs in Belgium are social, family and community oriented organizations. People come to the dog club to train their family pets, train their competition dogs, talk "dogs" and enjoy food and drink amongst friends. They participate in community fund raising events for both dog and people charities. People who no longer own a dog come to club just for the social aspect and stay involved with the dog sports they love.

Modeled after the dog clubs we loved in Belgium, Two Bears Dog Club is:

  • A place where people and dogs can learn about, observe and participate in a wide variety of dog sports such as competitive obedience, rally obedience, agility, Schutzhund, lure coursing, disk dogs, earth dog and dock dogs.
  • A place to train your dog to be a well behaved companion and family member.
  • A place to work with trainers who are acquainted with all methods of training and all types of training tools.
  • A safe, secure place for you and your dog to learn and play.
  • A community of people who want to share their love of dogs and dog-related activities.

Two Bears Dog Club is 4 fully fenced acres divided into three training fields.

The agility field features a full agility course and can be used for run thrus by experienced agility competitors. Beginning agility training, both private and classes are available. Club members can use this field during unscheduled times to practice basic to advanced obstacles and courses.

The Schutzhund field is regulation size and features six protection blinds, a meter jump and climbing wall. We also have added a moveable agitation fence and jump shute. Club members can use this field during unscheduled times to practice all components of Schutzhund I, II and III obedience and protection routines as well as all types of Ring Sport and PSA.

The small Obedience field is available for rally, competitive obedience, disk dogs and other dog activities that can utilize a smaller space and can be used during unscheduled times as well for smaller scale obedience needs.

A Two-acre Pond is available to members during the spring, summer and fall for swimming and dock dog practice.

The Schutzhund field and small obedience field are also available at scheduled times for open play groups for social dogs and private play or training sessions for those dogs who do not work well with others.
