Devon came to us as a behavioral foster dog from the Longmont Humane Society. He was both dog and human friendly and had some basic training under his belt, or shall we say, his collar! Originally he had been picked up by Animal Control as a stray and then he was adopted by a family but was returned one day later for chewing through a wooden privacy fence and cruising the neighborhood.
He couldn’t tolerate being confined or being separated from his human companions. We originally took him on as a foster dog to train and find him the right home, but somewhere along the way he became part of the family. John and Devon are now working together toward Delta certification to become a therapy dog. Stay tuned for more great things to come about Devon!
