Paws for Responsibility Programs:
Responsible Dog Ownership: In this 30 – 45 minute assembly program we are teaching responsible dog ownership, safety around pets, and respect for others. Our props and presentation are creative . . . well remembered because we actually use our pets (canine actors) to demonstrate what we explain, demonstrate puppy to advanced obedience and show fun tricks they have learned! (“Air-bud” (Golden Retriever) live shooting hoops, a Cocker Spaniel working a puzzle!)

Pawsitive Reading: This is a resource for reading specialists for reading intervention. Screened, trained and registered therapy dogs and their volunteer handlers offer opportunities for young children to improve reading skills. Obstacles hindering children reading below grade level seem to melt away when a furry friend is listening. Reading is a privilege; no longer a chore! Post reading cycle team evaluations show not only reading skills increase, but also self-confidence and self-esteem are greatly enhanced. Many breeds volunteer in this program.

We appreciate all donations! They are tax deductible.

$200 sponsors a reading team sent to a school for 6 weeks
$250 sponsors a Responsible Pet Ownership program

We also have a fun - fundraiser in place. A $20 donation gives you your choice of a bottle of red or white wine featuring one of our volunteer "therapists" on the label. Choose from an Akita, Terrier, Sheltie, Samoyed, Golden Retriever, Cocker Spaniel, Black Lab, Golden Doodle or Chihuahua on the label! All profits benefit Paws for Responsibility! Email us through our website (www.paws4responsibility.org) for information on where to send donations and to pick up wine
