| Responsible Dog Ownership: In this 30 – 45 minute assembly program we are teaching responsible dog ownership, safety around pets, and respect for others. Our props and presentation are creative . . . well remembered because we actually use our pets (canine actors) to demonstrate what we explain, demonstrate puppy to advanced obedience and show fun tricks they have learned! (“Air-bud” (Golden Retriever) live shooting hoops, a Cocker Spaniel working a puzzle!) | |||

Pawsitive Reading: This is a resource for reading specialists for reading intervention. Screened, trained and registered therapy dogs and their volunteer handlers offer opportunities for young children to improve reading skills. Obstacles hindering children reading below grade level seem to melt away when a furry friend is listening. Reading is a privilege; no longer a chore! Post reading cycle team evaluations show not only reading skills increase, but also self-confidence and self-esteem are greatly enhanced. Many breeds volunteer in this program. | ||
